Teapot and cover of hard-paste porcelain. Depressed pear-shape with a curved spout terminating in a mask and an ear-shaped handle, terminating above and below in an acanthus leaf; the domed cover has a mushroom knob. Interlacing gold bandwork at the neck, each side painted with shaped oval cartouches enclosed by interlaced bands in gold, iron red and purple and enclosing chinoiseries figure subjects; the cover with matching chinoiseries; the handle, spout and body with sprigs of "India flowers" and an exotic bird.
