STANDING CANDLESTICK Wrought iron Italy; c. 1500 Thought to be from a chapel near Pistoia, Tuscany. With its slender twisted stem and lily leaf decoration, this candlestick is a graceful example of the skill of Tuscan blacksmiths in the 15th and 16th centuries. Museum No. 5991-1859(07/1994)
