Cast iron, England; c. 1850. Cast by the Coalbrookdale Company, Shropshire from a design in the style of Alfred Stevens (1817-1875). Possibly by James Gamble. The jambs are decorated in relief with balusters and foliage. The lintel with flowers and leaves alternating.

Physical description

The lintel is decorated with balusters and foliage in an alternating repeat pattern. The jambs are decorated with a baluster at the top and bottom and in-between is foliage and a bird, which is different on either side.
