Object history
Found at Hyde Abbey, Winchester, ca. 1788, while digging foundations of a new jail. Bought by G. Percy Elliot of Winchester before 1851; inherited by granddaughter Mrs E.S.M. Bowker; bought from her by the V&A in 1920.
