Mahogany side table with carved flowers, English, 1755-1770
Physical description
Side-table with folding flap supported on a gate-leg, the edges of the top are enriched with carving embodying flowers. The frieze has a diamond-shaped motif, incorporating fronds, 'C'-curves and leaves. The four legs are fluted and and on the front and sides bracketed to the frieze with 'C' scrolls and rocaille ornament.
