Knife box with shagreen and silver mounts, engraved with the Bourne coat of arms. Wood carcase, the exterior covered in black shagreen, the interior with crimson velvet and silver braid. Silver lifting handles are at each side with pierced back plates, silver escutcheon on lid, and silver lock plate. The three claw and ball feet are also in silver. The mounts bear the lion passant mark and unrecorded maker's mark of I.W.
