Carved pearwood backgammon board, comprised of three divisions that fold into an oblong box, hinged together with small metal clasps. The outside of the box is carved in alternating openwork patterns and carved floral motifs, with a total of twelve rectangular panels carved in shallow relief on top of two of the three divisions. The inside of the box is painted with pink and white flowers and red medallions set against a dark background, with a central oval medallion depicting a harem scene; the young couple embrace one another in an open colonnaded pavilion surrounded by musicians and attendants holding a huqqa.
