Chest front carved from a single walnut board (the pins intact), with the front section of the dovetailed base (also with pins intact) and a sawn out section of the lid with hasp. On the front is a nailed iron lockplate. These parts have been mounted onto modern softwood battens holding the three elements in their correct configuaration. The chest front is carved in the solid with gothic tracery (partially concealed by the lockplate). The front of the plinth with a moulded upper edge, and undulating apron.

On the reverse which is plain are grooves (PR) for a till.

Acquired with a key (location not recorded 2019).
