This chimneypiece is made of carved pinewood. The frieze is of ogee section and is carved with foliated designs within lobed compartments; beneath this and along the inside of the jambs runs a moulding of scrolls, flowers and leaves. The mantel-shelf is in the form of a cornice with carved mouldings.
