Portion of a staircase in carved pine, with dado panels and the lower section of a flight of stairs with return. The balustrade consists of a moulded hand-rail terminating in a volute and supported on turned balusters with column-shaped newel posts. The stair ends are carved with S-shaped scrolls and foliage. Against the wall is dado panelling, broken at intervals by pilasters. It was once part of No. 46 Chancery Lane, London.
