Composed of five panels, the two outer ones carved with a grooved X pattern with crescents and dots within a flat strap ornament; the two inner, divided from the outer by muntins with channel mouldings, are of similar design within wavy strap ornament. The central panel is of circular flamboyant tracery with an arcade of four tracy arches below, and dogstooth with a basic guilloche above, with leaf spandrels. The lock plate is missing.
Panelled construction, using mason's mitres.
The reverse with a groove along the lower edge (1.7 x 1.7cm) to receive the chest bottom; fitted with two modern added battens.
Severe woodworm damage on the stiles and bottom rail. Traces of white worm treatment on damaged areas.
