Portions of an oak retable, carved in high relief with ten figures of male and female saints, and further enriched with painting and gilding; the background is carved in low relief partly with a representation of Christ calling the sons of Zebedee (Matthew IV. v.21). The figures with some backboards have been mounted on a modern wooden backboard on top of a horizontal block.

Neg. no. 15471 displays three free-standing carved figures from 'a painted and gilt retable'.The smaller, central figure is now (2017) mounted at the left end of the retable group. The caption records that two of the figures 'are in the Museum of Science and Art, Edinburgh'.
