Shape for a man’s waistcoat of pale green silk satin, embroidered with coloured silk floss and white chenille in satin, stem and running stitches and French knots. It has a round neck, straight fronts, shaped pocket flaps and short skirts reaching to the top of the thigh. It is worked in a pattern of flowers along the front edges, hem and pocket flaps, with abstract sprigs in the centre. Circles for 20 buttons are embroidered in unworked spaces of the shape. Both fronts are worked on the one piece of silk; the left front in 2 sections. The pocket flaps have been worked on a separate piece of silk and tacked to the shape.
