Curtain heading comprising of a border of olive green woven twill in a fine wool attached to a green braid. Six brass hooks are sewn to the braid in a haphazard way with linen thread. The hooks are crook shaped with an enclosed loop at one end, and this is sewn to the heading tape.

Object history
Registered File number 1985/1122. The heading was removed from a curtain made by J&S Temple of Glasgow in 1878. Although it is likely that the heading was attached by an amateur the date of fixing is likely to be close to the original weaving.
