Physical description
Evening dress made from black chiffon with a gold brocaded leaf pattern over-embroidered with an all over pattern of linked circles in a variety of silver and gold bead shapes.
The dress is wide and straight cut with the back slightly longer than the front. The long, tapering sleeves are set in low below a wide sleeve in one with the dress. The front neckline is a low, wide V. The dress is slit from the knee at the side. There is a border pattern of beads around the neck and down the centre front to the waist, at the junction of lower to upper sleeve, around the hem and side slits. The dress fastens with hooks on the right shoulder.
The belt is of self material covered with applied turquoise beads with scarab mounts at intervals and a very complex double tassel.
