Rectangular needle case of gilt metal fitted with four flat containers for needles. Each container is pushed up for use by moving a sliding knob from side to side at the base of the case. There is a raised shield with a fleur-de-lis on either side of the case, which is decorated with incised scroll work decoration an a series of inscriptions.
