Sleeve trimming of embroidered white muslin in white thread in buttonhole, satin, over-casting and drawn fabric stitches. Long and narrow with a wider shaped section in the centre. Symmetrical trailing design of exotic leaves and flowers ornamented with a variety of very finely worked drawn fabric filling stitches. Amongst the leaves and flowers are small sprays of berries. The whole background is worked into a fine mesh by means of drawn fabric stitches. Narrow border of bobbin lace along the straight side and the two short ends. Dresden work.
