Dress panel for an over-dress. It is made of net partially cut and decorated in the shape of an over-dress. The panel has a low side neck, high waist line, a full gored skirt forming a train at the back and a centre back opening.
It is decorated with applied woven tapes of several types and roses of crochet work, and with insertions of woven tape-lace, Swiss chemical lace motifs and hexagonal mesh of Swiss chemical lace.
The false gores are defined by vertical scrolling lines decorated with flowers and linked at the bottom by horizontal swags of flowers and net-filled cartouches. The swags and cartouches are repeated along the hem of the dress. Between are sprays of flowers.
