Christening robe of machine-embroidered white cotton muslin. Long robe made by hand from pieces of machine-embroidered cotton. Wide square neck, normal waist and long skirt. Back fastening with draw-strings through the waist and neck. Short sleeves decorated with frills. The decorated front bodice panel extends in a short point over the waist and is edged with frills. The triangular decorated panel of the skirt is also edged with frills.
The front panels of the skirt and bodice, and the frills are machine-embroidered with a stiff design of flowers contained within roundels and medallions, and are decorated with numerous eyelet holes.
