Bed cover of embroidered cream satin with coloured silk in stem, satin, long and short stitch and French knots. In the centre is a monogram 'I.D.B.L.' in orange-browns and cream. Around this is a circular garland of convolvulus in white and blue-green. Scattered around this are sprays of wild of wild roses in cream, green and brown. Around the edge a trailing garland of marigolds in orange and brown-green. Round the edge of the cover is a wide scalloped border of coarse bobbin lace with a four-petalled flower in each scallop.
The design was applied by transfer before being embroidered, and the transfer marks can be seen in places.
