This bronze plaquette was made by Jules-Clément Chaplain in France, 1893. The obverse of this plaquette represents the Prince Hélène Bibesco wearing a lace trimmed sleeveless gown tied at the shoulder with a ribbon. Her hair is styled in a short curly fringe at the front and caught up in a chignon at the back. Inscribed "PRINCESSE HELENE BIBESCO.' The reverse shows a grand piano with stool. Flying above a putto carries a garland and scatters flowers over the piano. Sheets of music lie on top of the piano and underneath it. The music on the music stand is engraved with the names of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and others.
