Plaquette, Princess Marie Gortchacow Stourdza, bronze electrotype, by Jules-Clément Chaplain, French, 1895.
Physical description
Obv., female bust to right. The Princess wears a low-cut evening dress with fur trim, and lace and ribbon at the front. Her hair is dressed with ornament in the form of a sheaf of corn. She wears a string of beads. Rev., dramatic view of a seaside villa built on several levels into the rock.
