Cylinder musical box in a case of rosewood with a marquetry shell motif on lid, marked: Ste. Croix. Glass inner lid from full left to right divider, with two control levers on a simple board and a keywind mechanism. From its silvery tone and treble trills in the six arrangements (all popular dance numbers), it is reminiscent of the work of Ducommun Girod.
