This Hispano-Arabic marble capital was probably made in the 11th century. This capital was acquired in Granada.

Physical description

Marble capital, flat acanthus foliage rises from circular base to projections under the abacus where the leaves form volutes. Secondary pairs of helices are found in the upper part of each side. The cutting is broad and flat.
