This statuette represents Meleager and is made in North Italy in the late 16th century.
Meleager was a Greek mythological figure, who was the son of a king of Calydon, a city in Aetolia. His father offended the goddess Diana, who then sent out a wild boar to threaten the countryside. Meleager along with a group of collegues tried to hunt the boar. This is referred to as the Calydonian Boar Hunt.
