This bronze plaquette was probably made in South Germany, in about 1550-1600. This depicts Maucius Scaevola on the left and the crowned figure of Lars Porsenna on the right.

Plaquette Mucius Scaevola, bronze. South German ca. 1550-1600.
Physical description
Plaquette in bronze representing Mucius Scaevola. Within a circular decorated border, a landscape of a river, trees, bridges and a tented camp. In the foreground Mucius Scaevola stands bareheaded on the left, holding his right hand in the flames of an altar fire. Behind him stands a soldier, helmeted and carrying a pike. On the right the crowned figure of Lars Porsenna in a long cloak holds a sceptre above the fire, and behind him stands a group of three more soldiers.
