This plaquette representing the Virgin and Child with St Venanzo and St Ansovino was probably made in the 16th century Italy. The arms bearing a griffin and surmounted by a cardinal's hat are those of Cardinal Mariano Benedetti.

Physical description
Plaquette representing the Virgin and Child with St Venanzo and St Ansovino. In the upper part, the Virgin stands holding the Child on her left arm, and surrounded by a gloria of clouds and cherubs heads. At the sides there are two half-length angels and four cherubs. Below, on the right, kneels St Venanzo, clothed as a bishop and holding a crozier. On the left, St Ansovino kneels bare-headed, in his right hand a banner and cross, in his left, the town of Camerino. Between them, a shield bearing a griffin and surmounted by a cardinal's hat.
