Physical description | Plaquette representing the Virgin and Child with St Venanzo and St Ansovino. In the upper part, the Virgin stands holding the Child on her left arm, and surrounded by a gloria of clouds and cherubs heads. At the sides there are two half-length angels and four cherubs. Below, on the right, kneels St Venanzo, clothed as a bishop and holding a crozier. On the left, St Ansovino kneels bare-headed, in his right hand a banner and cross, in his left, the town of Camerino. Between them, a shield bearing a griffin and surmounted by a cardinal's hat. |
