This gilt-copper plaquette representing the stoning of St Stephen, is possibly German and made in the 17th century.
St. Stephen kneels in the centre foreground between two men with stones raised above their heads. His right hand lifted, he looks up at Christ and God the Father in the clouds. A boy sits on the left another crouches on the right. Behind these figures there is an open space with a gateway in the near distance. Above in the cloud God the Father with Christ blessing.
