Plaquette St Mary Magdalene; bronze. South German early 17th century.
Physical description
Plaquette in bronze, St. Mary Magdalene with flowing hair kneels in a wilderness her face raised to heaven. Before her on the left are a skull, a crucifix, a vase and a book. The background is formed by trees and rocks, through a cleft of which a town is seen on the right. In the upper right hand corner there is a gloria.
