This bronze plaquette representing Scylla and Minos was made by the Master H. G. in 1569. The Master H. G. has been identified Hans Sammitzer (or Camitzer) of Nuremberg (1538-1603).

Plaquette Scylla and Minos, bronze. German 1569.
Physical description
Plaquette in bronze. In the centre Minos in classical armour and mounted on a prancing horse advances from the right. Behind him a foot soldier with a spear and beyond the army. In the foreground two seated soldiers and on the left an old man turning towards Minos. In the middle distance on the left battlemented houses and a tower from the roof of which Scylla beckons to Minos. At the foot of the tower on the left three women, on the right two others advancing. Background of towns, trees and ships.
