Physical description | Plaquette in brass, the Deposition. The body of Christ rests across the knees of the Virgin Mary, who supports him with her right hand. One of his arms is supported by St. Mary Magdalene who kneels beside the Virgin. St. John stands behind on one side of the cross and on the other side are Nicodemus and St. Joseph of Arimathea. Above the sun and moon. |
