This brass plaquette was probably made in the late 16th or early 17th century Spain. This represents the Virgin in a Mandorla. The Virgin is standing on a crescent moon with her hands together in prayer.

Physical description

Plaquette in bronze, the Virgin in a mandorla. The Virgin is standing on a crescent moon with her hands together in prayer. The mandorla surrounds her and is bordered by a Franciscan girdle of rope. At the four corners are cherub-heads. Moulded rim.
