This brass plaquette representing St. Anthony of Padua was probably made in the late 16th or early 17th century Spain. St. Anthony is clothes as a monk; in his left hand he holds a book on which a child is seated, his right holds a crucifix against his shoulder.

Physical description

Plaquette in brass representing a saint, probably St. Anthony of Padua, clothed as a monk. His left hand holds a book on which a child is seated and his right hand holds a crucifix against his shoulder. On the right there is a pedestal supporting a skull, on the left a table with two books. On the ground a scourge.
