This medal depicts the Flemish merchant Martin de Hanna and is made by Leone Leoni.
De Hanna (1475-1553) was one of the wealthiest Flemish merchants in Venice. A Venetian nobleman. He came to Venice in the early years of the 16th century, receiving citizenship in 1545. He was a patron of the arts and hired Pordenone (1483-1539) for decoration of his Grand Canal palace and Titian might have introduced him to Leoni.

Medal depicts on the obverse the bust to the right of Hanna. Inscription. On the reverse a woman turned to the right, clad in floating draperies, raises her head and both arms towards the sun, which is hidden by a cloud. Inscription.
