This is a mosaic picture in white and tinted marble, with black outlines on black ground representing 'The Visitation' with Virgin Mary and St. Elizabeth. It was made by Baron Henry de Triqueti in 1847.

Triqueti was one of the major sculptors of the 19th century, working in France and England. He was born into an industrialist and diplomat family and enjoyed an artistic upbringing. He was a versatile artist, starting off in painting, he later (from 1833 on) worked as a sculptor and art historian and wrote some books. One of his works is for example the interior of La Madeleine in Paris.
