This medal commemorates the death of William Pitt (the Younger) and is made by Thomas Webb (ca. 1760 - ca. 1827), in England in 1806.
Pitt (1759-1806), Prime Minister from 1783-1801 and again from 1804-1806, was the son of Thomas Pitt the Elder. He was the youngest-ever Prime Minister at the age of 24 and introduced reforms to reduce the national debt.
