This relief in painted clay was probably made in the early 15th century France. This represents the Betrayal and the composition is based on an English alabaster table. It is possible that it may have been made to replace a broken alabaster, or as an experiment to manufacture similar reliefs in clay.

Physical description
Relief in painted clay representing the Betrayal. In the middle Judas moving to the right embraces Jesus Christ, who stands in the act of restoring the ear of Malchus who kneels on his left knee before him. To the right an armed figure seizes Christ by his arm, while the left arm of another clutches his hair; to the left the lower part of St. Peter.
