Head

ca. 1530 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

This head of a woman in alabaster may well have been a corbel or have had another similar architectural function. This is close in style to Castilian sculpture of the first third of the 16th century but the material and style suggests this head may be a mid -16th century work from Aragon, perhaps Zaragoza.
