Physical description | Statuette in painted wood, the Virgin and Child. The Virgin is seated on a narrow bench supporting the Child on her left knee and holding an apple in her right hand. The Child holds a book in his left hand and raises his right in blessing. The Virgin wears dark blue mantle over a red robe and the Child's robes are dark blue lined with red. The decoration on the robes and the Virgin's bare head are gilded. |
