The angel, draped in a billowing mantle, approaches the Virgin from the left, his right hand raised in blessing. The Virgin kneels to the right before a lectern on which a book rests. This group is carved from a single piece of wood and probably formed part of the left wing of an altarpiece.

Physical description
Relief in oak. The Angel who is enveloped in an ample robe and mantle, approaches the Virgin from the left, the right hand is raised in blessing. The Virgin kneels to the right, at a prie-dieu, on which is an open book, her arms crossed on her breast. The lily wand probably held by the Angel is missing.
