This slate lunette from a doorway is bordered on either side by long s shaped scrolls with leaf ornament. In the middle there is a wreath enclosing a tablet (originally inscribed) set in scrolls with ribbons. The field between the wreath and the bordering scrolls decorated with ribbon work. The tablet which originally contained an inscription has been defaced. The material and style of the cutting suggests a provenance possibly in the hills to the north of Genoa.
