This wooden box was made in the late 18th century Palestine and it was probably carved by Franciscans. On the over of this box are the Baptism of Christ and the Annunciation. Below is St. Philip holding a tall cross, with angels bearing crown and palm. The sides are overlaid with small panels of mother-of-pearl engraved with a running design of flowers. Lined with horn and tortoise shell.
