George I

Model
ca. 1725 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

This bust represents George I (1660-1727) and is attributed to Francis Bird, made in ca. 1725 in Britain.
Very likely the present piece was a model used to produce a wax from which a bronze version could have been executed, due to the small size of the bust.
The bust was formerly also ascribed to John Nost (active after 1686).
