This Byzantine medallion was probably made in the 6th or 7th century. This is in copper covered by a dull green patina and represents an Equestrian Saint.

Medallion an equestrian saint copper, Byzantine 6-7c.
Physical description
Medallion in copper, an Equestrian Saint. The saint galloping towards the right transfixes with a spear a figure lying on the ground. To the right of the horse's head is a five pointed star. The background consists of an ill-defined landscape. The whole is enclosed in a dotted bead border. The copper is largely covered by a dull green patina. The edge has been broken away in one place.
