This bronze medal depicts pope Clement XI, to the right, wearing the Papal tiara and a cope. On the reverse side Moses is shown crossing the Red Sea with the Israelites. This image alludes to the conclusion of Peace between the Christian rulers.

Clement XI was Pope from 1700 until his death in 1721.

Physical description

Medal, bronze. Obverse side, but to right of Clement, wearing the Papal tiara and a cope with the inscription, CLEMENS. XI. P. MAX. AN. XIII. Signed, E. HAMERANVS. F. Reverse side, Moses crossing the Red Sea with the Israelites with the inscription IN. VIAM. PACIS. Dated in exergue, MDCCXIII.
