This candlestick is made in Italy, probably Milan, in the second half of the 15th century in the style of Annibale Fontana (1540-1587).
This candlestick is in the form of a female figure on a circular base with three putti.
Annibale Fontana was born in Milan and was a sculptor, medallist and crystal-worker.

Physical description
This candlestick is in the form of a female figure on a circular base with three putti. The circular base is enriched with festoons of fruit. It rests on three horned masks, above each of which is a nude boy. On the upper side are three oval cartouches each containing a recumbent female figure holding a cornucopiae.
