This bronze plaquette was made by Georges Henri Prud'homme in France, 1917. This medal represents a French poilu portrayed in the act of winning a struggle to the death with the Prussian eagle and a wild boar.

Physical description
Obv., A French poilu, naked except for his helmet and armed with a dagger, is portrayed in the act of winning a struggle to the death with the Prussian eagle. In its throes the bird, its immense wings outspread, grasps his upper body with its talons and draws drops of blood. The poilu is raising his right arm to strike the eagle. Feathers fall and a German helmet lies on the ground.

Rev., In the lower portion of the plaquette a wild boar emerges from the oak forest of the Ardennes. Ferns and fungi are in the foreground. At the top are two coat of arms.
