This medal depicting the bust to left of King George III, was issued to commemorate his death on Jan 29th, 1820, aged 81 years.
According to Brown, it is made by T.Wyon or T. Willets and Messrs Kempson & Son, in England in 1820.
George III (George William Frederick) (1738- 1820) was King of Great Britain and King of Ireland from 25 October 1760 until the union of these two countries on 1 January 1801, after which he was King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland until his death.
