This medal depicting Alessandro Vecchietti (1472-1530) is ascribed to Niccolo Fiorentino.
Niccolo Fiorentino (1430-1514) - also called Niccolo di Forzore Spinelli - grand newphew of the painter Spinello Aretino, was born in Florence of a family of goldsmiths of the Popolo of S. Maria Novella. It is possible that he is identical with the 'Nicolas de Spinel' who was mentioned in 1468 in the accounts of the Dukes of Burgundy as having engraved seals for Charles the Bald.

Physical description
Medal depicts on the obverse the bust to right of Vecchietti, in a round cap turned up at the back. Inscription. On the reverse Fortune, naked, three-quarter to left, standing on a dolphin. She holds a triangular sail. To the left a radiant face emerging from the sea. To the right, on a rock, an ermine with a scroll proceeding from its mouth, with bears an inscription.
