| Physical description | The tomb is shown in perspective, and is decorated with three roundels, the two in front having figures of praying angels, that at the end a soldier. Christ, naked, except for a loin cloth, and wearing a crown of thorns, is being lowered into the tomb by Nicodemus, and Joseph of Arimathea. The Virgin stands between them. St. Mary Magdalene kneels at the foot of the tomb. |
